you know, sometimes you are trying on clothes and it makes you cry.

You’re standing there in the dressing room, half-naked in front of the mirror and this is the fifth piece of garment you’ve tried in the fifth store you’ve entered into and it still looks fucking ugly on you, or it doesn’t fit or…

Trigger warning for self-disparaging body talk. This is a really wonderful reminder that even body positive feminists don’t always love their body 100% of the time, and you’re not alone if you feel like a hypocrite for advocating body positivity and still finding yourself feeling society’s pressure.

Oh yes. So accurate. And my mom, who was naturally super thin when she was my age, just tells me “lets go shopping for jeans, but no crying/anger ok?” and im like “you dont know what it feels like, feeling anxious to try on clothes and realizing that the Large doesnt fit and feeling personally victimized by a piece of clothing”

clothes are made for women with perfect flawless bodies it seems… im not fat. Im like… normal and clothes are so dificult. Its like they hate me, I see a dress and think ‘I LOVE IT” but the friking dress makes me look like a rectangle… and pants shoping is hell, NOT make for women with real butts
